Grand Lake View from Monkey Island. That

Yesterday was January 3, 2009 and the temperature got up to 78 degrees here at Grand Lake. Wow! No this is not normal this time of year but it does happen in our winters here.  So the golfers were out in force. There were more fisherman on the lake. Everyone was loving the great outdoors and the spring like day. I just love Grand Lake.

Debbie and I showed one of our listings to a couple again and it looks like they are going to make an offer on a lakefront Monkey Island home with a great main lake view.

While walking the dogs I visited with the caretaker at Silver Key about the weather, of course, and we talked about the current fishing and the prospects for next spring. He had caught several bass from along our shoreline with one being about 4 lbs just yesterday. We have had very good crappie spawns for the last couple of years, so there should be a lot of filet size catches in the spring. 

That evening we went to dinner at the Roadhouse Restaurant with some friends who had come to the lake for the week end. The Roadhouse has a prime rib special every Saturday. Good food, good company, and a good day here at Grand Lake. Life is good!
