Is now the time to invest in a Grand Lake Waterfront home?

According to some people it most certainly is! We just closed on a lakefront home in the Duck Creek area which sold for over $1,000,000. On top of that we closed  on a $550,000  Monkey island  waterfront property yesterday and have a $695,000 lakefront home at Patricia Island Estates in Grove, OK closing  next week. This past Thursday we also put a $265,000 Monkey Island lakefront condo under contract and are working with another half dozen buyers in the $500,000 and up price range. The flood gates have opened so to speak for real estate here at Grand Lake , Oklahoma…. lakefront property in particular, at least for us anyway.

Why is all this happening now? We can only speculate and mention some of the comments we have had from buyers. Grand Lake waterfront homes have not devalued like real estate in other parts of the country. It is still very affordable compared to other areas. The Grand Lake waterfront real estate market is active and property sells quickly if priced correctly for the location, view and condition. From Grove to Monkey Island, Ketchum,  The Coves, Duck Creek, Langley…. all over it is a good market and remains strong.

Some comments have been:

”This would cost twice as much back where I’m from.”

” I’m taking money from my portfolio and investing in Grand Lake waterfront property because I think it is a better and safer investment. In addition my family and I can have fun too!”

“ Our dream is to retire at the lake and if we wait to purchase, we may not be able to afford a lake home when the time comes to retire.”
