All of a sudden, we had a number of people call us to sell their lake homes. It’s not that there are more available lakefront homes for sale here. The total number is about the same. It’s not that the real estate market is bad at Grand Lake, OK. Quite the contary. It is and has remained very good. After all, these are lakefront homes at one of the great lakes in the country, Grand Lake located in northeast Oklahoma. There have been the typical referals from past clients because of our being real estate professionals with REMAX  a long time. The new thing is calls from people who we didn’t know who have seen how we advertise everywhere in print, on the internet and on the radio, and the “Grand Results” we are getting. The Grand Lake and Grove area has been named as one the the top areas in the country to retire. Quality of life is certainly part of the equation and Patricia Island Estates figures heavily in that mix. Located in Northeast Oklahoma’s “Green Country” and Grove, OK. This deveopment is on Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees and is also built around a championship quality golf course. According to some people it most certainly is! We just closed on a lakefront home in the Duck Creek area which sold for over $1,000,000. On top of that we closed  on a $550,000  Monkey island  waterfront property yesterday and have a $695,000 lakefront home at Patricia Island Estates in Grove, OK closing  next week. This past Thursday we also put a $265,000 Monkey Island lakefront condo under contract and are working with another half dozen buyers in the $500,000 and up price range. The flood gates have opened so to speak for real estate here at Grand Lake , Oklahoma…. lakefront property in particular, at least for us anyway.

Why is all this happening now? We can only speculate and mention some of the comments we have had from buyers. Grand Lake waterfront homes have not devalued like real estate in other parts of the country. It is still very affordable compared to other areas. The Grand Lake waterfront real estate market is active and property sells quickly if priced correctly for the location, view and condition. From Grove to Monkey Island, Ketchum,  The Coves, Duck Creek, Langley…. all over it is a good market and remains strong.
