Eagles Fly at Grand Lake in Oklahoma!

I noticed this morning that there were a number of people who found this blog and some of our web sites by searching for eagles or to view Eagles at Grand Lake. Because of this I’m posting some pictures here that I’ve taken from our home on Monkey Island. I’ve actually seen as many as three at one time flying and I assume doing the mating thing because of the acrobatics going on. Too bad I couldn’t get my camera in time to record it. If you enjoy bird watching you will love Grand Lake’s variety. With our location we also see migratory birds in addition to eagles, such as Ducks, Geese, and Pelicans. I think you will enjoy the Crane and Herons as well as all the other wild life in the area.

Northeast Oklahoma and is still an affordable place to find lakefront homes at a comparably reasonable price. It’s a wonderful retirement area as well as a favorite for all the family fun which the lake has to offer. It’s over 60 miles long with 1,300 miles of shoreline. You can boat to restaurants, go to one of the many year round festivals, golf and of course fish one of the best fisheries around. Grand Lake recently hosted a couple BassMaster Elite tournaments which was a huge success with the 4 day total being around 70 lbs. We abolutely love the lifestyle here. It describes things we actually have seen from our windows and deck overlooking what we feel is one of the greatest places, with some of the best people in the world enjoying life to it’s fullest. Because there was so much interest in my last post “Grand Lake Map“ , where we made it easier to find your lakefront home, I decided to follow up with this. It seems there are a lot of people who dream of having a lakefront home. Grand Lake is the premier lake in Oklahoma being over 60 miles long and having 1,300 miles of shoreline. In this blog you will find links to information on Gated Communities and condos at Grand Lake and another map. The Map is Monkey Island and the links will take you to a web page with pictures, a map for location and links to show homes currently listed in the Grand Lake MLS actively for sale.
